My background
Before joining Cooney Lees Morgan in 2009, I was at ZESPRI Group Limited as General Counsel and prior to that I was a senior associate at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts. The first 8 years of my career were as a New Zealand diplomat and international trade lawyer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Having worked for and within some of New Zealand's largest corporates, SOEs, and government departments, I offer extensive corporate commercial and trade policy experience.
My life in the Bay of Plenty
At the local level, I am Vice-Chairman of Priority One, our local Economic Development Agency, and a board member of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce.
Originally a "Westie", I grew up with Auckland's west coast beaches close at hand and my wife Lisa was raised near the water in south Sydney. The Bay was therefore the perfect place for us to settle, raise our three children and pursue our careers.
