My background
Prior to joining Cooney Lees Morgan in 2008, I worked for a mid-sized law firm in the United Kingdom in that firm's commercial team. Prior to my “OE”, my career started here in Tauranga doing a wide range of commercial work, Residential and Commercial Property, Trusts and Asset planning at a local firm.
I enjoy the challenge of working with a wide range of clients with varying needs - from first home buyers and small to medium enterprises to large corporate entities like ZESPRI (where I have completed an in-house secondment in their legal team).
I have experience in Company Law, large and small business financing arrangements, Sale and Purchase of businesses, business operations and structures, acquisitions, tendering, licensing and a wide range of other commercial transactions. Often as an adjunct to my commercial practice, I’ve also advised a large number of clients on residential property and commercial property transactions, trusts and asset planning.
My life in the Bay of Plenty
I am a committee member of Rocket, the young professional branch of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce.
Born and raised in Rotorua, I am a Bay boy through and through. Upon completing my studies at the University of Otago, I worked in Tauranga before heading to the United Kingdom. With my wife Jen pursuing a career in medicine, Tauranga is an ideal place to start the next chapter in life.
Having played and managed at club rugby level, I remain a loyal supporter of the mighty Mount Maunganui Marlins!
