On the 1st of April 2016 I became a partner at Cooney Lees Morgan. I’m stepping into this new role with great excitement and anticipation – which is mostly due to the great people I get to work with at this firm. We are fortunate to have a dedicated team here at Cooneys.

One of the main reasons I accepted partnership at Cooney Lees Morgan is the work/life balance that is part and parcel of this firm, and extremely important to me. Whilst the work is both challenging and rewarding, it’s never at the expense of spending quality time with my family. Being part of a firm that values family time so highly is invaluable.

Within the firm my main areas of practice are trusts and property. I have a particular interest in farming and kiwifruit transactions, and advising clients on asset protection and succession planning. I also have many years experience advising clients in the health sector and on property transactions.

Out of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My wife Jen and I have two boys, Harrison and George. Although I don’t play competitive sport anymore I enjoy watching rugby and cricket, and playing touch and tennis when time allows. I also enjoy most forms of music.

We are so lucky to live and work in the Bay of Plenty. I’m a regular up the Mount all year round. This is truly the best place to raise a family.
