Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (Hons), PG Dip Law, University of Birmingham

I’m a UK qualified lawyer and joined Cooney Lees Morgan in 2009. Prior to my move to New Zealand, I spent four year working for Boodle Hatfield in London carrying out a wide variety of property work, including residential conveyancing, financing, commercial leasing and enfranchisement claims under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.

I currently work in the Property and Development team at Cooney Lees Morgan providing legal advice and assistance on all aspects of residential and commercial property developments, financing and refinancing, subdivisions and conveyancing matters. I act for a number of developer/builder clients and have particular expertise in land acquisition and house and land package sales.

Having been born and raised in the UK, my husband and I were keen to sample the relaxed Bay of Plenty lifestyle. We love living near the beaches and take every opportunity we can to get outdoors and enjoy everything this beautiful area has to offer.

Examples of work:

  • Advising and acting on a large number of residential property purchases and sales, including freehold, cross leases and until titles.
  • Acting for developer clients in the acquisition of land throughout New Zealand and the completion of house and land package sales to their clients.
  • Undertaking and completing subdivisions of land, including a recent 50 lot subdivision for a developer client in Hamilton.
  • Advising purchaser clients on all aspects of mortgage finance and refinancing.
